Over the years in which environmental toxicologist Dr. Dydek has been an independent consultant, he has worked for a wide variety of private companies, government agencies, and law firms. These consultations have included litigation support, air quality permitting, and toxicological investigations/human health risk assessments. In the legal arena, Dr. Dydek has functioned as either a consulting or a testifying expert in many toxic tort, Worker’s Compensation, legal malpractice, tobacco litigation, and criminal cases. His work in the air quality permitting area has been for companies with facilities as small and as rock crushers and asphalt plants to the largest petroleum refineries and electric power generating plants.  His experience in this area began while working as Senior Staff Toxicologist on the “inside” with the State of Texas.  His work in this area has continued since leaving the agency.  He has more than 30 years of experience in air quality permitting.

Dr. Dydek’s work of performing toxicological investigations and human health risk assessments is perhaps even more varied. He has consulted on environmental agency enforcement actions, proposed new Effects Screening Levels for the State of Texas, assessed the risk of chemical-contaminated soils and ground water, conducted indoor air quality investigations, prepared Material Safety Data Sheets, done peer reviews of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality documents, and performed product safety evaluations for medical devices and consumer products.
